How SensorSync works / Sensor fusion

Different sensors.
One connected picture.

SensorSync applies machine learning to visual information and fuses the results with selected sensors, screening equipment and operational systems in a shared digital twin. Follow the same journey with connected evidence. A foundation for operational superintelligence.

Complementary observations

  • CCTV

Machine learning on images and video.

  • LiDAR & depth

    Position, distance and movement.

  • RFID

Tagged objects at known read points.

  • Equipment & APIs

    Machine states and operational events.

Illustration of connected observations

  1. Combine the inputs

    Bring relevant sensor data together.

  2. Connect related observations

Use location, movement and available identifiers to associate observations with a person, object or event.

  3. Understand the whole event

Bring the journey, interactions and equipment context together for analysis, alerts and source review.

At a security lane

Machine learning analyses images and video of tray loading and interactions. Sensor fusion connects those findings with LiDAR positions, supported RFID tray identifiers, screening records and lane status so staff can review the journey.

Sources, coverage and associations are configured for your site.

Designed applications / Find the cause

Understand delays.
Spot security events.

High fidelity data captures individual movements, timings and equipment events. AI connects those details to explain inefficiency, flag security events and recommend responses.

Example / Transport

Why do queues grow when it rains outside?

30%
longer to divest
+0.2
trays per passenger
Scenario compared with the dry-weather average.
  1. Rain outside
  2. Longer preparation
  3. Growing queues
Cause and effectQueue pressure
Dry weather After rain
Rain starts → queue pressure rises.
AI breakdown

Extra coats and umbrellas can slow preparation and need more trays, reducing capacity.

What you can do

Focus screen guidance on coats before checkpoint arrival. Open additional lanes ahead of the forecast peak to match the demand curve.

Example / Retail

Why are checkout queues building?

  1. Longer transactions
  2. Fewer customers served
  3. Growing queues
Cause and effectQueue pressure
Usual conditions Slower checkout
Service slows → queue pressure rises.
AI breakdown

Arrivals stay steady, but longer checkout interactions reduce the number of customers served.

What you can do

Compare opening a till or adding support at checkout.

Example / Manufacturing

Where is production time being lost?

  1. Delayed handover
  2. Work waiting
  3. Lost production time
Cause and effectWork waiting
Usual conditions Delayed transfer
Handover delayed → work waiting rises.
AI breakdown

Work waits at handover while the next stage is available. Transfer delays leave equipment idle.

What you can do

Review handover routines, equipment availability and staff allocation.

Example / Events

Why is one entrance getting crowded?

  1. Uneven arrivals
  2. One entrance overloaded
  3. Local crowding
Cause and effectEntrance crowding
Usual conditions Uneven demand
Arrivals shift → entrance crowding rises.
AI breakdown

One entrance takes more arrivals while another has spare capacity. Route choice concentrates the pressure.

What you can do

Redirect arrivals and compare where staff support is needed.

Example / Critical infrastructure

Why is activity building near a restricted area?

  1. Repeated approaches
  2. Longer boundary dwell
  3. More activity for review
Cause and effectBoundary activity
Usual conditions Repeated approaches
Approaches increase → boundary activity rises.
AI breakdown

Repeated visits and longer dwell near a restricted entrance stand out from usual activity. Review routes and access events together.

What you can do

Check access records and linked footage; ask your team to review before escalating.

Flow + React / From measurement to action

Measure the operation.
Simulate what comes next.

Flow measures activity across your operation and uses advanced simulation to explore what may happen next. Operational superintelligence proposes responses and shows their expected KPI impact, helping the checkpoint team choose its next move.

  1. Measure

Connect movements, interactions, timings and equipment activity.

  2. Simulate

Use the digital twin to test passenger load balancing across lanes as demand and capacity change.

  3. Recommend

See the expected impact of each response and choose against your KPI priorities.

Fits your operation

Start with your needs.
Build on what you have.

Connect any sensor, screening system, equipment or other asset with an interface, including CCTV, LiDAR and RFID. Combine these with existing software through APIs, with processing on site or in the cloud.

Use suitable existing equipment

Keep cameras and equipment that meet the requirement. Add sensors where they provide information you are missing.

Connect the information you need

Connect observations, alerts and operational software so staff can understand events in context.

Keep your team in control

Agree who sees the information, who acts on it and how the system is maintained.

SensorSync AI explains activity, Flow compares plans and React coordinates your team’s chosen response.

We plan coverage and connections, then test and commission the system on site.

Screening validation / Zero-trust workflows

Verify each task.
Support every clearance.

Check that required screening and follow-up tasks are completed. SensorSync brings the task, its subject and completion evidence together so staff can see what is done and what still needs attention.

  1. Define the required tasks

Apply your procedures to passenger and item screening, additional searches and alarm resolution.

  2. Verify task completion

Fuse machine-learning analysis of visual information with selected sensor, screening and staff records for the correct passenger, tray or item.

  3. Keep exceptions open

Flag skipped, incomplete, out-of-sequence or unverified tasks. Give authorised staff the evidence to review and record the outcome.
